Why we do it …
“We enjoy being around people. By volunteering we get to see a lot of things. It’s just fun and we’re contributing something to the community.”
“It gives me something to do in my retirement years. I also volunteer for soccer, but that’s on the weekends – this gives me something to do on the weekdays.”
“I’m a nurse, and since I volunteer during the Festival I sometimes use my nursing skills to help others. It’s fun and I enjoy giving back.” Benefits

We currently have approximately 1,200 employees. We are also one of the top 10 employers in the manufacturing sector in the Wichita area. Officially, we have been a part of the Wichita community as YORK since 1996, but have been manufacturing furnaces and air conditioners dating back as far as 1947 under the names of Coleman, and as Evcon in the early 1990’s. We are proud to be part of this community and will continue to support activities that promote what a great place Wichita is to live and grow. York encourages everyone to take some time out of their busy lifestyles to support organizations and activities such as Festivals, Inc. Remember a little giving goes a long way. Financial support is important, but volunteering your time will leave you with a lasting memory that you can’t put a price tag on.
